Siebert (205 points), Schumacher (180) and Guzman (169) is how it stands in the race for outright victory. The situation is also still wide open in the Rookie Trophy and National Teams Trophy

Rome 27/9/2016 – The final round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth will be a thrilling affair. In three of the four championship battles,  the titles are still to be decided. This includes the chase for the outright title where 3 drivers are separated by only 36 points. Also making matters more uncertain are the number of wins between the championship contenders: 4 apiece for the Argentine Siebert and the German Schumacher, 3 for the Mexican Guzman. Behind them, but not in contention for the championship is the Dutchman Job Van Uiterton 134.5 points (with 2 wins at the last round at Imola), followed by Juri Vips (112), the American Juan Correa (105.5), the Italian Simone Cunati (95) and the Brazilian Joao Vieira (69). The first 10 drivers are from 9 different nations.

  • In the Rookie Trophy who can mathematically win the title.

They are separated by just 41.5 points from Juri Vips in first place (on 212 points) to the Indian Kush Maini in fifth place on 170.5. There are also 63 points on offer in the Rookie Trophy.  In the middle of the chase are Simone Cunati (206.5), Juan Correa (188.5) and the Italian Lorenzo Colombo (184.5). Fabienne Wohlwend has already secured the Women's Trophy currently with 369.5 points

  • Importantly, the best 16 results will count towards the final classification of both overall and Rookie titles.

  • The National Team's Trophy sees 2 candidates in line to take the title: Prema Power Team with 375.5 points ahead of Jenzer Motorsport on 359. They are followed by Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport on 189, DR Formula on 168, Vincenzo Sospiri Racing on 136, Bhaitech on 121, RB Racing on 95.5, Diegi Motorsport on 88, Antonelli Motorsport on 87 and BVM Racing in tenth on 71.5 points. Also important to remember that the points awarded for the Team's Trophy are from the best results of the season, with some entrants acquiring points from the best results from their two driver's results of the season in the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth.
