Monza
Sunday, October 30, 2016

On the podium were Vips, Mick Schumacher and Ian Rodriguez. Fabienne Wohlwend took out the Women’s Trophy
It was a triumphant weekend for the Estonian Juri Vips at Monza (Prema Power Team). Not only did he take out the Rookie Trophy, but he also took out the Race 3, his first outright victory. On the podium with him was his team mate, the German Mick Schumacher, who drove a fantastic race from grid 26 and contributed to Prema winning the team’s title ahead of Jenzer Motorsport. Third was the Guatemalan driver Ian Rodriguez (DRZ Benelli), followed by Artem Petrov (DR Formula), the Venezuelan Sebastian Fernandez (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport), the Canadian Devlin De Francesco (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport), the two Italians from the Bhaitech team Lorenzo Colombo and Giacomo Altoé, with the Dutchman Job Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport) and the Italian Federico Malvestiti (Antonelli Motorsport) rounding out the top ten.

  • The two drivers who started on the front row of the grid, the Japanese Marino Sato (Vincenzo Sospiri Racing) and the Chinese Ye Yifei (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport) were forced to retire after various contact while they were fighting for second place. Contact at the first chicane also put the new champion, the Argentine Marcos Siebert (Jenzer Motorsport) out of the race along with the Italian Diego Bertonelli (Bhaitech).
  • In the Rookie Trophy behind Vips and Rodriguez, was Artem Petrov (who recorded the fastest lap of the race 1:53.704), Fernandez and Colombo
  • Fabienne Wohlwend (DR Formula) took out the Women’s Trophy and also recorded her best result of the season with 11th outright and 8th Rookie home
  • The complete results of Race 3 and the entire event are available on acisportitalia.it/f4.
