Another action-packed race took place at the Autodromo Piero Taruffi di Vallelunga in the Italian F4 Championship, with the second race of the weekend counting towards Round 2 of the season. Edward Robinson started from pole position but struggled slightly off the line with wheelspin, initially losing the lead. The Spanish-British US Racing driver fought back brilliantly, reclaiming first place with a spectacular move around the outside of Niccolò Maccagnani, who had led the race until the closing stages.
Maccagnani then became involved in the fierce battles at the front and eventually finished the race with suspension damage. Second place went to R-ace GP Mercedes junior Andy Consani, who started from P6 and delivered a spectacular opening lap to launch himself straight into contention for victory.
Third place went to David Cosma-Cristofor. The Romanian Prema Racing driver had already secured a podium finish in Race 1 before being demoted by a penalty, and this time he was finally able to celebrate on the podium after another highly combative race at the front.
Arjen Kraling (US Racing) finished fourth after an exciting race that saw him climb back through the order in the closing stages following an entertaining battle with Oscar Repetto (PHM Racing). Fifth place went to Alp Aksoy (Prema Racing), who remains championship leader after the opening day of racing at Vallelunga. The Turkish driver was once again fighting near the front after taking third place in Race 1. From the start to a thrilling finish, Aksoy showed excellent control of his Tatuus and secured another Rookie class victory.
Thomas Bearman (Van Amersfoort Racing) delivered another strong performance to finish sixth overall. Seventh place went to Repetto, who also secured second place on the Rookie podium behind Aksoy. Prema Racing’s Chinese driver Kwan Ho Kingsley Zheng finished eighth overall and third among the Rookies in Race 2.

Florentin Hattemer (Trident Motorsport) and Knud Nielsen (Real Racing), both in their rookie season in the category, completed the top ten.
Sicilian driver Ludovico Busso (US Racing) finished 11th overall after an entertaining battle with Lyuboslav Ruykov (Trident Motorsport), who eventually crossed the line in 13th place. German driver Elia Weiss (Jenzer Motorsport) took 12th. Danish driver David Walther (Maffi Racing) finished 14th after dropping back following a trip through the gravel at the Cimini corner while battling in the midfield.
Fabricio Fogaca (AKM Motorsport) retired after contact while the field was running behind the Safety Car; Noah Killion (US Racing) and Christian Costoya (Prema Racing) were both forced out following contact during a fierce battle; while Pedro Lima (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Augustus Toniolo (Trident Motorsport) both ended up stranded in the gravel after colliding.
Results remain provisional pending confirmation following post-race sporting and technical checks.
Edward Robinson: “The start was a bit tricky, I had some wheelspin and lost a position because of that. After that I found the rhythm. I tried a few moves on Andy and he defended really well. After the Safety Car restart I knew there would be an opportunity and I took it. It was really good. I feel amazing, but it’s not time to celebrate yet because we still have two more races tomorrow. Still, I’m very happy with what we achieved.”
Andy Consani: “It was good, I really like the track. We worked during testing to improve the car and after taking P3 we managed to get another strong result thanks to a very good first lap. The pace was strong at the beginning of the race, then it became more difficult, but I managed to stay on the podium and finish second. It’s my first race weekend at Vallelunga, it’s quite challenging because overtaking here is difficult, but I’m doing my best.”
David Cosma-Cristofor: “The start wasn’t perfect again, I had some wheelspin and we’ll need to review that after the race. I was a bit lucky as well, but I think I deserved another podium considering what happened in Race 1. I’m really happy because we changed something on the car and so far everything is working well. I hope to start somewhere in the top ten for the Final and I’ll try to score as many championship points as possible.”
