The final classification of Race 2 of the Italian F4 Championship has changed following the sporting checks carried out by the Vallelunga Stewards. Edward Robinson’s (US Racing) victory has been confirmed, with the British-Spanish driver also set to start tomorrow’s opening race, Sunday, May 24, from pole position.

A significant penalty was instead handed to Andy Consani (R-ace GP), who had originally finished second. The French driver received a 25-second penalty for the incident involving Niccolò Maccagnani (Prema Racing), a clash that effectively ended the Italian driver’s hopes of fighting for victory in the closing stages of the race. Maccagnani eventually finished last, while Consani dropped to 21st in the final standings.

David Cosma-Cristofor (Prema Racing) is therefore promoted to second place, with Arjen Kraling (US Racing) moving up to third. Fourth position went to Alp Aksoy (Prema Racing), ahead of Thomas Bearman (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Oscar Repetto (PHM Racing).

Seventh place went to Kwan Ho Kingsley Zheng (Prema Racing), followed by Florentin Hattemer (Trident Motorsport) and Knud Nielsen (Real Racing). Ludovico Busso (US Racing) completed the top ten ahead of Lyuboslav Ruykov (Trident Motorsport).

Initially classified 12th, Elia Weiss (Jenzer Motorsport) also received a 10-second penalty following contact with Dominik Simek (Trident Motorsport), an incident that cost the Czech driver several positions. The German driver was therefore demoted to 19th place in the final classification.

David Walther (Maffi Racing) inherited 12th position ahead of Federico Diaz (Alpha 54 Racing). Tamas Gender (R-ace GP) and Roland Kuklane (PHM Racing) completed the points-paying positions.

Grid penalties were also issued for Race 3: Augustus Toniolo (Trident Motorsport) will drop six places on the grid, while Fabricio Fogaca (CRAM Motorsport) received a total 10-place grid penalty, both following incidents during Race 2.
