The 40 Tatuus cars of the Italian F.4 Championship completed the second free practice session at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where track temperatures rose significantly compared to the morning session, peaking at 48°C against the 32°C recorded during the early outing at 08:30. The warmer conditions contributed to further improvements in lap times.

Topping the timesheets was Sebastian Wheldon, the American talent racing for Prema Racing and supported by Andretti Global, who stopped the clock at 1:51.655. Right behind him came his Colombian teammate Salim Hanna, fastest among the Rookies, just 0.127 seconds adrift. Third place went to Maksimilian Popov (Van Amersfoort Racing), who, with a gap of 0.278 and a solid performance in the morning session as well, confirmed himself as one of the key contenders in this Monza weekend.

Oleksandr Bondarev, the Ukrainian driver for Prema Racing and member of the Williams Driver Academy, secured the fourth fastest time with a gap of 0.311. Fifth was Brazilian Gabriel Gomez (US Racing), 0.352 off the top.

In sixth position, Slovak-Japanese driver Kean Nakamura-Berta (Prema Racing) posted a time 0.470 behind, followed by Finnish driver Luka Sammalisto (US Racing), seventh at 0.644. Eighth was David Cosma-Cristofor (PHM Racing) from Romania at 0.739, ahead of Australian Dante Vinci (Van Amersfoort Racing), ninth at 0.747. Completing the top 10 was British driver Bart Harrison (Jenzer Motorsport), who closed the session with a 0.755 gap.

With Free Practice 2 now concluded, the window for making setup changes without direct consequences has officially closed. From this point onward, every decision will be crucial in one of the most pivotal weekends of the season.

Drivers will return to the track this afternoon, Friday 20 June, for qualifying. The first session, setting the grid for Race 1, is scheduled from 15:35 to 15:50. The second session, determining the grid for Race 2, will follow from 16:00 to 16:15. The grid for Race 3 will be based on the second-best lap time recorded across both sessions.

On Saturday 21 June, Race 1 will take place at 10:35, followed by Race 2 at 17:50. Race 3 is set for Sunday 22 June at 10:20.

All races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228, Tivùsat channel 52), streamed live on www.acisport.tv, and available on ACI Sport TV’s official Facebook and YouTube pages.
